You are invited to join your fellow archivists on Friday, July 24th between 2-4:30 p.m. at the James B. Duke Library. Visitor parking is available near the library or behind the Chapel. The address is 3300 Poinsett Highway, Greenville, SC. Appetizers will be served, and you can drop in on a guided tour at any time. If you are able to come out earlier in the day, please consider visiting the Sigal Music Museum, the Upcountry Museum, or you can go shopping on Main Street near the gorgeous Falls River. If you want to stick around after the event at Furman, the Main Street Fridays music festival will be happening, or you can go to the Shakespeare Festival. Please rsvp for this event using the QR code or by visiting the SCAA Social at Furman University RSVP form.
Please email Kristen Welch with any questions or concerns.

You are invited to join your fellow archivists in Sumter, South Carolina on Friday, August 28th. We will have a come and go reception in the Sumter County Art Gallery, located at 200 Hasel Street, between 3-5 p.m. Appetizers will be provided at no charge and entrance to the art gallery is also free. If you can stay for dinner, consider Sidebar or Shuckers. Also, Fourth Fridays Music is a free event. Just bring a lawn chair. If you want to stay overnight, try the 1912 B&B. Finally, if you can come before 3 p.m., try visiting the Iris Gardens or the County Museum. Since we need to plan for appetizers and (non alcoholic) drinks at the museum, please rsvp using the QR code on the flyer or by visiting the Low Country SCAA Social at Sumter Gallery RSVP form.
Please email Kristen Welch with any questions or concerns.
The Society of North Carolina Archivists (SNCA) and SCAA will host a joint annual meeting May 28-29, 2026, at UNC-Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. The theme will be "Many Voices, Stronger Archives: Advocacy through Community," which calls us to reflect on the roles and impacts of advocacy and community within the archival profession.
Registration is now open.
